Abstract

This article provides a retrospective analysis of the clinical course and therapeutic management of juvenile pemphigus vulgaris (PV) at an Italian referral center. The study included five Caucasian female patients with a mean age of 15.4 years at diagnosis. The patients were treated with rituximab, a monoclonal antibody, and all achieved a complete clinical response without any side effects. The study suggests that rituximab is an effective and safe treatment option for juvenile PV, although further research is needed to validate its use as a first-line option.
