Abstract

The article focuses on assessing the impact of intramuscular temperature and fascicle angle on ultrasound echo intensity values (EI), highlighting the need for accurate measurement methods in estimating muscle quality. While Pinto et al. suggest a significant confounding effect of fascicle angle on EI, concerns arise regarding the experimental setup's ability to independently manipulate fascicle angle and properly account for factors like subcutaneous fat thickness.
