INTERNACIONALIZAÇÃO DA COMUNICAÇÃO: A EXPANSÃO DA CNN AO REDOR DO GLOBO.

The establishment of CNN (Cable News Network) made globalization history, as it began broadcasting live news programming via satellite to the whole world. It became the first global TV channel with 24-hour news. Based on these considerations, the paper will look at CNN's expansion around the globe and show which countries/regions it is based in. For this study, analyses were carried out on the channel's official platforms; historical surveys and bibliographic reviews related to the subject; in addition to bringing in important authors, such as Aronchi (2004, 2005) and Goulart (2020). With this data, it was possible to get a sense of the hegemony of this media and its perpetuation today. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
