CONSTRUINDO TECNOLOGIAS ASSISTIVAS DE BAIXO CUSTO PARA CRIANÇAS COM DEFICIÊNCIA - UM RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA.

The article reports on the experience of undergraduate students in the development of low-cost Assistive Technology (AT) devices for children and adolescents with physical disabilities. The "Viver Sem Limites" project aims to facilitate access to these resources but faces difficulties in acquisition. To overcome this problem, the students carried out planning, searched for articles on device manufacturing, measured the children, and gathered feedback from families to understand which devices were necessary. They then produced two cardboard chairs and a table, which were delivered to the children. The devices allowed the children to engage in activities with better posture, as well as promoting learning and stimulating the creativity of the students. The production of low-cost AT devices favored the learning of the students, facilitated social participation, and improved motor skills for children and adolescents with disabilities.
