Abstract
- Currently, there is no cure or vaccine for HIV/AIDS. Antiretroviral drugs have improved treatment but have drawbacks such as lifelong usage, side effects, and ineffectiveness against drug-resistant strains. However, nanotechnology shows promise in revolutionizing HIV/AIDS treatment. It can enhance antiretroviral therapy, gene therapy, immunotherapy, microbicides, and vaccines. Nanoparticles can be delivered through inhalation, injection, or ingestion, and have shown effectiveness against the virus in laboratory tests. This technology has the potential to significantly improve prevention and therapy for HIV/AIDS. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
