The challenges to environmental sustainability in a scenario of Climate change and Extreme Events require an ecological, socio-economic and cultural agenda that takes into account, among other elements, the endowment of natural resources, their exploitation and the carrying capacity of the Biomes. In this situation, the Biomes of the Northeast Region of Brazil are multiple and diverse, covering practically all the types of intertropical Landscape Macro Domains found in this country. In addition to presenting the largest picture of Brazilian cultural diversity. Although the spatial primacy of semi-arid landscapes is observed in the Northeast, it is important to assess the landscape's potential, in terms of the potential and limitations of the use of natural resources in the face of Climate Change and Desertification. This will make it possible to deal with evolutionary and desirable scenarios for optimizing bio-inputs.
