Abstract

The article focuses on assessing the utility of video-electroencephalography monitoring (VEM) for patients with autoimmune encephalitis to improve seizure control and diagnostic accuracy. It is reported that the study, conducted across three tertiary hospitals in Australia, found that VEM admissions led to updated diagnoses in 50 percent of cases and improved seizure frequency in half of the patients, highlighting the potential benefits of VEM in this specific patient population.
