Historiografía del marxismo en Colombia: debates y perspectivas.

The objective of this text is to carry out a historiographical balance of Marxism in Colombia, within the framework of intellectual history, in order to determine its scope and its main debates, as well as to trace future lines of research. This balance is based on an initial concern, which consists of an apparent neglect of the national historiography about the processes of appropriation of Marxism in Colombia. The question we ask ourselves is why it is that in Colombian historiography we still do not have a set of works that, from intellectual history, tell about the history of Marxism in the country. Faced with this question, two working hypotheses can be formulated. On the one hand, from an epistemological perspective, it is possible that the history of Marxism is blurred between the history of socialism, of leftist political movements, and of the revolutionary struggles of the popular sectors. The second hypothesis has a much more political meaning and affects the field of the historiography of the left in general, and consists of the relative lack of interest that has marked the study of the national left in the last twenty years.
