Abstract
- A 32-year-old woman developed cardiomyopathy while undergoing immunosuppressive treatment with tacrolimus after a liver transplant. She had no prior history of cardiac disorders. Shortly after starting the treatment, she experienced seizures and respiratory failure. An echocardiogram revealed severe heart failure. The woman was treated with vasopressors, inotropes, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. After discontinuing tacrolimus, her heart function improved and she made a full recovery.
