Abstract
- This article presents a new method for detecting Decapod iridescent virus 1 (DIV1), a harmful pathogen in crustacean farming. The method, called TaqMan-based real-time PCR, is highly accurate and specific for detecting aquatic viruses. The study developed primers and a probe targeting the DIV1 gene and tested the assay's specificity and sensitivity. The results showed that the method was highly specific and could detect very low levels of DIV1 DNA. The authors recommend using this method alongside another real-time PCR method for the best detection of DIV1. [Extracted from the article]
