Abstract

The Pentagon is relocating military assets, including jet fighters and armed drones, from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Qatar due to restrictions on conducting airstrikes from the UAE's Al Dhafra air base. The UAE informed the US in February that it would no longer allow American warplanes and drones to carry out strikes in Yemen and Iraq without prior notification. This move reflects growing tensions between the US and some Persian Gulf countries, as the UAE is concerned about being targeted by Iranian proxies if it is seen aiding US military operations. The US is also considering launching strikes from Djibouti in East Africa. [Extracted from the article]
