Abstract

Tomahawk Construction, a Florida-based contractor, has turned to semi-autonomous trucks to address the challenge of finding qualified truck drivers for their residential project in Naples. Teleo, a construction tech start-up, approached Tomahawk Construction with their semi-autonomous construction equipment, which allows one driver to remotely operate multiple trucks. The system uses AI to recognize different vehicles and is constantly learning and improving. The deployment of the Teleo system is straightforward, with a control package installed on the machine and a custom mesh network set up on site. This technology has the potential to expand the operator base and attract a different set of people. [Extracted from the article]
