Abstract
- The article focuses on the challenges faced by underrepresented students in STEM fields, particularly concerning the affordability of obtaining STEM degrees. Topics include the disproportionate representation of Black, Hispanic, American Indian, and Alaska Native students in STEM; the escalating student loan debt crisis; and the impact of differential tuition on making STEM degrees more expensive, especially for marginalized populations.
