Investigations of DC-DC converter topologies for pv fed telecom applications.

For the past few years, Renewable Energy Sources (RES) have played a significant role. Solar power is the most feasible source in comparison with other RES. Solar power is clean, noiseless and eco-friendly, while extracting electric power, DC-DC Converters are mostly preferred because of its use in various applications. The disadvantages of photovoltaic systems (PV) include insufficient energy conversion efficiency, poor stability, and intermittent characteristics. Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm is used to ensure maximum power utilization from solar PV. In this work, the performance parameters of DC-DC converters are examined.
