Abstract

The goal of the study was to find out how people's eating habits affected their weight in cities and small towns during the Novel Covid-19 pandemic. Methods and Materials: A total of 454 people were asked questions and evaluated based on things like what they ate and how many calories they ate. Chi-square analysis from SPSS software was used to find out how people's eating habits affected their diets in both cities and villages in Chennai and Kanchipuram. The size of the sample was worked out by keeping G-power at 80%, =0.05, and a confidence interval of 95%. Results: People in the pre-covid community who answered the survey kept their ideal body weight (48.46%) because they ate on a schedule because of how they lived. However, most of this group said they had gained weight (47.36%) during the pandemic. The Chi-square results for urban and rural communities with three determining factors are 16.316 and 14.347, and a statistically significant value of P0.001;P=0.05 was found. Conclusion: Based on innovative analysis, the results showed that both men and women had more erratic eating habits after the pandemic (Post Pandemic) than they did before the pandemic. This led to bad eating habits, which led to unhealthy weight changes and obesity among the respondents. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
