Abstract

Surface roughness was measured on CNC-drilled Aluminum Alloy AA1100 using both HSS M35 and TiN-coated tools. HSS M35 twist drills and Titanium Nitride drills are used in this study. Holes are cut into certain AA1100 aluminium. In this study, both control and experimental groups are used. Drill bits coated with TiN and controls made from HSS M35 will be used in this experiment. Twenty samples from each group were deemed sufficient for analysis using an A G power calculator. Twenty samples from each tool are drilled in a controlled experiment. Speed, feed rate, and cutting depth dials. The parameters used were 2200 RPM, 200 IPM, and 10 mm of depth of cut. Using a Mitutoyo Surface tester SJ-410, we measured the surface roughness of 20 samples and analysed the data using SPSS with a 95% confidence interval. HSS M35 drill bits had a value of 2.89445, whereas the TiN-coated drill bits had a value of 0.95726. Findings are statistically significant (p=0.024) in this study. The surface roughness of the TiN-coated tool was better than that of the HSS M35 tool at the same input speed, feed, and depth of cut. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
