Abstract
- A 72-year-old man experienced cardiogenic shock and acute decompensated heart failure while being treated with basiliximab for kidney transplant rejection prevention. The man had a history of various medical conditions and underwent a renal transplant. After the surgery, he developed symptoms such as cold extremities, anasarca, and low blood pressure. Further tests revealed biventricular systolic dysfunction and other cardiac abnormalities. The patient received various medications and interventions, including dialysis, and his condition gradually improved over time. A coronary angiogram later revealed significant blockages in his coronary arteries. [Extracted from the article]
