Stereo and regioselective addition of N-heterocycles on internal alkynes through C[sbnd]N bond formations.

[Display omitted] We report, regio and stereoselective addition of N -heterocycles on internal alkynes through C(sp2)-N(sp3) bond formation. We have synthesized a series of 1H -indole, 1H- benzimidazole and tetrahydroquinolines (THQ) functionalized Maleate, Fumarate and Acrylate derivatives through N - alkenylation reactions. We have demonstrated the selective formation of E- Isomers. Further substrate dependent formation of E and Z isomers are also observed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
