Preface: The Fifth Parul University International Conference on Engineering & Technology – PICET 2023.

The fifth Parul University International Conference on Engineering & Technology (PICET) was successfully held on May 5th and 6th, 2023, at Parul University in Gujarat, India. The conference focused on the theme of "Smart & Sustainable Developments in Engineering and Technology" and aimed to provide a global platform for scholars, researchers, and scientists to discuss current research and advanced methodologies in engineering. The conference included keynote addresses, technical sessions, and a start-up exhibition. A total of 69 papers were selected for publication in the AIP Conference Proceedings, and over 300 attendees participated in the conference.
