Sales are at their highest since 1998, although turnover is below that of 2001. The British aerospace sector recorded a 28% increase in orders compared with 2003, with the figure up to 22.6 billion pounds. Productivity among the aerospace sector's 114,345 employees also rose 7.8%, while the overall number of personnel employed fell by 6%.
