Complete telomere‐to‐telomere assemblies of two sorghum genomes to guide biological discovery.

This article discusses the assembly of two complete sorghum genomes, BTx623 and Ji2055, which have corrected errors in the current reference genome and provided valuable insights into centromere variation. Sorghum is an important crop that serves as a staple food for millions of people and provides feed, fiber, and biofuel globally. The T2T assemblies were generated using advanced sequencing technologies and were found to be highly accurate and complete.
