This study analyzes the labor demands and resources in a Peruvian state organization during the COVID-19 health crisis. The labor resources and demands that affect the performance of workers were identified, highlighting organizational support and development opportunities as protective resources against burnout. On the other hand, role confusion demands and work difficulties increase the risk of burnout. These results are relevant for coping with critical events in the public sector.
