Abstract

This article presents a study on the synthesis and characterization of three new donor-acceptor conjugates that have the ability to sense changes in pH and detect fluoride ions. The molecules were analyzed using various techniques and their optical properties were investigated. The compounds showed solvatochromic effects on their fluorescence spectra and demonstrated pH sensitivity, with a turn-on fluorescence response towards acidic pH. They also selectively bound to fluoride ions, resulting in a fluorescence response. The article provides detailed experimental procedures and characterization data for each compound.
