Abstract
- The paper considers transient forced vibrations of an elastically suspended rotor with formally six degrees of freedom when passing through the first resonance, with unlimited excitation. In this type of excitation, unstable frequency zones are not observed immediately after resonance, so-called Sommerfeld's effect. These processes are typical of the recently widespread in engineering practice uninterruptible power sources (UPS), as well as kinetic energy recovery systems (KERS) used in transport means as additional propulsion system with operating speeds between the first and second resonance of the system.
