Abstract
- The German Exile Archive of the German National Library has acquired the written estate of the painter Karl Schwesig. Schwesig was a politically engaged artist who was persecuted during the time of National Socialism. His estate contains handwritten records of his mistreatment and imprisonment, as well as documents and correspondence. The Bavarian State Library has developed the website bavarikon4U to facilitate young people's access to art and culture. The Baden State Library has also expanded its digital collections and now provides a total of five million images for free access. The Johann Christian Senckenberg University Library in Frankfurt am Main is receiving funding from the German Research Foundation (DFG) for the expansion of specialized information services (FID) in African studies and performing arts. The Weimar Classic Foundation has acquired letters from Friedrich Schiller and Christian Gottfried Körner, which are now part of Schiller's estate. [Extracted from the article]
