The research aims to : 1 .Identify the level of self-confidence among female volleyball players in the Kurdistan region . 2 .Identify the level of competitive behavior among female volleyball players in the Kurdistan region . 3 .Explore the relationship between self-confidence and competitive behavior among female volleyball players in the Kurdistan region . The researcher employed a descriptive methodology using correlational relationships, which is suitable for the nature and problem of the research. The research community consisted of volleyball players from sports clubs (Sanhareeb, Akkad Ankawa, Dibbandikhan, Sulaimaniyah, Armenian, Qaraqosh, and Erbil Girls) participating in the Northern Region Clubs Volleyball League in the Kurdistan region for the 2022-2023 season, totaling 101 players from 7 clubs. The research sample comprised 80 players, representing 79.20% of the population distributed across the clubs. Six players were excluded for incomplete questionnaires, 10 players for participating in the pilot study, and 5 players for control purposes. The researcher utilized statistical methods such as percentages, means, standard deviations, hypothetical average, and Pearson correlation coefficient for data analysis. The researcher reached several conclusions, including : -Female volleyball players in the Kurdistan region possess a positive and acceptable level of self-confidence . -Female volleyball players in the Kurdistan region exhibit a positive level of competitive behavior . -There is a significant and positive correlation between self-confidence and competitive behavior among female volleyball players in the Kurdistan region.
