Abstract
- This article discusses the endovascular management of an extracranial carotid artery aneurysm using a stent graft. The case study involves a 43-year-old male patient who presented with severe respiratory obstruction due to a large aneurysm in the neck. The patient underwent a minimally invasive procedure in which a stent graft was implanted across the neck of the aneurysm, resulting in successful treatment and regression of symptoms. The article highlights the rarity of this condition and the potential complications associated with it. It also discusses the various diagnostic modalities and treatment options available for extracranial carotid artery aneurysms. Overall, the use of stent grafts in endovascular management is shown to be a promising alternative to surgical options. [Extracted from the article]
