Abstract

"The Relationship of the Number of Neutrophil Lymphocyte Ratio with the Picture of Colitis" explores the potential use of the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) as a biomarker for diagnosing and predicting mucosal inflammation in colitis. The study, based on medical record data from 44 colitis patients, found no significant relationship between the NLR and the appearance of colitis. The majority of patients were male, aged 61-70 years, and diagnosed with chronic colitis. However, it is important to note that the study had a limited sample size and did not specifically examine the relationship between the NLR and chronic colitis. Previous research has suggested that the NLR may be a valuable biomarker for predicting disease severity in inflammatory bowel disease patients. [Extracted from the article]
