Abstract

This article explores the role of madrasah supervisors in implementing the Independent Learning Curriculum at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nurul Muâ¿¿min in West Jakarta, Indonesia. The curriculum is implemented voluntarily and gradually, depending on the readiness of each educational unit. Madrasah supervisors play a crucial role in influencing, encouraging, and guiding the residents of the madrasah in implementing the curriculum. They act as supervisors, leaders of change, facilitators, coaches, mentors, and trainers. The article emphasizes the importance of professional supervisors with strong management and leadership skills in improving the quality of madrasas. It also addresses the challenges faced in implementing the curriculum, such as the readiness of educators and students, and the need for proper training, guidance, and infrastructure. The article concludes by highlighting the importance of cooperation among stakeholders and the need for clear legal basis, common understanding, and adequate resources for successful implementation of the curriculum.
