Cadmium (Cd) is a kind of toxic environmental pollutant. Cadmium pollution is not only a problem endangering the health of poultry production, but also a public health issue related to the safety of animal source food. In this paper, the current situation of cadmium pollution in poultry breeding indus‐ try, the toxic effects of cadmium on poultry, the molecular mechanism of cadmium toxicity and nutrition intervention control techniques were reviewed, in order to provide reference for ensuring the health of poultry production.
