Abstract
- This article discusses two cases involving tianeptine, a dietary supplement, and its effects on a pregnant woman and her neonate. The woman developed tianeptine dependence during pregnancy, and her neonate experienced neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome due to in-utero exposure to tianeptine. The neonate was initially treated with phenobarbital, but it was found to be ineffective. Eventually, the neonate's condition improved after receiving treatment with morphine.
