Revue de la littérature scientifique concernant les effets du yoga chez les enfants et les adolescents ayant un trouble du spectre de l'autisme.

This article regroups the scientific data available from the last ten years concerning exclusive yoga practice for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). A checklist was designed and used to examine the participants characteristics and the modalities of this practice. The review suggests a positive influence of yoga programs on some associated behaviours affecting young with ASD such as irritability, restlessness, self-harm or agressive behaviours. This review provides a detailed representation of the yoga programs and their effects. Recommendations are provided for professionals who are interested in practicing yoga as a therapy for youth with ASD. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
