A construção do conhecimento no âmbito do Projeto Recupera Caatinga: um relato de experiência.

This report portrays the Projeto Recupera Caatinga experience, developed by the Center for Qualification and Support for Small Farmers of Araripe (CHAPADA), within the scope of the Petrobras Socio-Environmental Program 2018. The project was carried out in the Brazilian Semiarid Region, from October/2020 to February/2023. The general objective of Recupera Caatinga was to promote actions and training processes for recovering and conserving vegetation, through the rescue of ethnobiological knowledge of quilombola communities in the semi-arid region and to implement vegetation recovery systems combined with resilient production, mitigating desertification and climate change effects. This report describes the actions carried out, presenting their results and the transformation of the families, through the formative intervention processes. The work's methodology was a qualitative study of a descriptive and documental nature based on the Project's data. The experience shows that, through the formative processes, there was a recovery of care for nature, the cultural appreciation, and ancestry of the quilombola people. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
