Abstract

The article discusses the rise in violent attacks targeting Asians in the US and argues that these incidents should be seen as systemic rather than isolated events. It highlights two specific attacks, the Atlanta shooting and the death of Yang Song, to illustrate the connections between police, empire, and violence against Asian women. The article suggests that the US military, like the police, operates to exert control and dominance rather than ensuring peace and safety. It calls for demilitarization and the development of transnational connections to address the issue of hate attacks and work towards a world without police or prisons. [Extracted from the article]
