Abstract
- This article discusses the use of fractional microneedle radiofrequency (FMR) as a successful treatment for nodular-like adverse reactions following mesotherapy. Mesotherapy is a cosmetic procedure that involves injecting agents into the skin to improve its condition, but it can sometimes lead to adverse reactions such as skin nodules. The article presents three cases where FMR effectively relieved these adverse reactions. FMR works by creating micro-tunnels in the skin, promoting the expulsion of foreign bodies, accelerating the clearance of macrophages, promoting collagen regeneration, and disrupting bacterial biofilms. The authors suggest that FMR could be a promising treatment option for persistent cutaneous nodular reactions following mesotherapy, but further research is needed to validate these findings.
