Abstract

Single-atom catalysts (SACs) have attracted much attention due to their unique structure and properties, especially in terms of maximizing the utilization of atoms and improving the intrinsic catalytic activity. In recent years, SAC-based advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) have become a new field in the environmental field, and have been widely used in the removal of various refractory organic pollutants. In this paper, the synthesis and characterization methods of SACs are analyzed, and the catalytic performance of SACs in different Fenton-like catalytic reactions is emphasized. In addition, tests of the continuous flow of SACs fixed on membrane or columnar filters are presented to explore the potential of SACs for practical applications in Fenton-like reactions. Finally, we prospect the future rational SACs design and the exploration direction of the Fenton-like reaction mechanism, aiming to improve the application potential of Fenton-like reaction in practical wastewater.
