Abstract
- The article discusses the challenge of mitigating climate change and pollution-related hypoxia in coastal communities. Current conservation measures are not effective in addressing deoxygenation, which has negative impacts on marine ecosystems and socio-economic factors. The article proposes that the production of green hydrogen, a by-product of renewable energy sources, can provide new possibilities for artificial ocean reoxygenation to mitigate coastal hypoxia. The authors emphasize the need for interdisciplinary research and policy discussions to explore this potential solution. [Extracted from the article]
