Abstract

This document is a response to a letter to the editor regarding a study comparing the long-term efficacy and adverse event rates of two medications, lebrikizumab and dupilumab, for the treatment of moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis. The authors address four issues raised in the letter, including the use of unanchored matching-adjusted indirect comparison (MAIC), the handling of patients using topical corticosteroids, errors in reporting baseline characteristics, and differences in baseline characteristics after re-weighting. The authors defend their methodology and conclude that their findings are robust and appropriate. The document also includes information about the authors' conflicts of interest and ethical approval for the study. [Extracted from the article]
