Abstract: The article presents a study which determined the inter-rater reliability between the Veterans Affairs (VA) Dementia ICD Code List and the Chronic Conditions Warehouse (CCW) Alzheimer's disease and related disorders (ADRD) algorithm when applied to a cohort of veterans hospitalized with heart failure. Topics include sample characteristics, comparison of ICD-10 codes in the VA and CCW ADRD algorithms, and limitations of the study.
