Long-distance marriage is an intriguing phenomenon because physical separation is suspected to influence family harmony, thereby requiring social support and good marital interaction. This research aims to analyze the impact of social support and husband-wife interaction on the marital quality of long-distance marriages. The respondents were purposely selected, totaling 146 husbands and wives employed at Institution X. They came from intact families, had children, and had been in long-distance marriages for a minimum of 6 months. The research found that the perceived social support and husband-wife interaction were classified as moderate. In marital quality, 53.2 percent of male respondents are high, while 67.3 percent of female respondents are moderate. There was a significant difference in marital interaction and marital quality, with males having a higher average than females. The correlation results showed that higher income, more children, and higher social support correlated with higher perceived marital quality. Regression analysis shows that fewer number of children, higher perceived social support, and improved marital interaction would enhance marital quality. So, family are expected to provide support and improve husbandwife interaction to optimize the quality of long-distance marriages. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
