EVALUASI TEKNIK PENGOPERASIAN PURSE SEINE PADA KM. SUMBER REZEKI.

The aim of this research is to evaluate the purse seine operating technique on KM. Sumber Rezeki based on regulation of the minister of maritime affairs and fisheries no. 18 of 2021. This research was carried out using KM. Sumber Rezeki belongs to PT. HLS in 2022. The data collection methods used are observation and interviews. The result is the purse seine used by KM. Sumber Rezeki is a type of small pelagic purse seine with the regional name pukat langgar. The construction consists of 450 m top ris rope, 450 m lower rise rope, 450 m buoy rope, 450 m ballast rope, 450 m skid, 450 m ring rope, 1500 buoys, 700 ballast, 105 rings. Fishing aids of purse seine are permanent FADs and lights. The ship used is a motor ship measuring 168 GT. Fishing was carried out on line III and WPP 711. Based on the evaluation of the purse seine operation technique, seven aspects were declared appropriate, namely the mesh size and length of the line of rise were appropriate, the size of the vessel and the fishing line were appropriate. One aspect that is not appropriate is that the operation of the langar trawl is not equipped with a radar reflector as a fishing aid. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
