Our time has been called the age of sad passions and cold-screen muses counterbalanced by a rise in temperatures, internal and external, such as to spark ever-increasing fires and conflicts. From many sides and in various ways there is thus a call for art and education to remedy this: to rekindle an increasingly heterodirected or extinguished life force and together weave a much-needed harmony at the level of individuals, groups and ecosystem. Aesthetic education can be a valuable resource for this purpose if we first go about tracing its origin, context of implementation and conditions of possibility. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
