Abstract

This study aims to introduce a computational approach to solve multi criteria decision making problems. This approach will help the decision making to measure the relative efficiency for different multi criteria decision making problems. The presented approach consists of three main stages. The first stage is to measure the relative efficiency of the decision-making units using Banker-Charenes-Cooper (BCC) model which is the one of the popular data envelopment analysis models, the second stage is to identify the weights of the inputs and outputs using entropy weights method (EWM), and the third stage is to rank the only efficient units using multi objective optimization by rational analysis (MOORA). The integrated (BCC-EWM-MOORA) model is applied to measure the efficiency levels of 15 commercial banks operating in Iraq between 2015-2021. The results of the study showed that the factors affecting the efficiency of banking performance in commercial banks are economic and financial factors. Inputs (capital and deposits) and outputs (investments and loans) were used to measure the efficiency of commercial banks, and we found that this approach is an efficient and easy to implement.
