Abstract

This article explores the potential use of probiotics in treating acne vulgaris. It reviews existing studies that evaluate the effectiveness of oral and topical probiotics in reducing acne lesions and improving clinical assessment. Certain strains of probiotics, such as Lactobacillus and Enterococcus faecalis, show promise in treating acne. Probiotics have also been found to affect the skin microbiome and reduce inflammation. However, more research is needed to fully understand the effectiveness of probiotics in treating acne vulgaris. [Extracted from the article]
