Abstract

The article discusses research which compared concentrations of aerosolized metals in a variety of e-cigarette brands, flavors and devices. The study analyzed metal concentrations from e-cigarettes including modifiable devices (MOD), cartridge-containing devices (POD) and disposable PODs. Findings indicate the presence of aluminum, chromium, copper, iron, lead, manganese, lead, arsenic and nickel in MOD, POD and d-POD aerosols, with some exceeding the minimal risk levels.
