Abstract

Angélica Negrón is a composer born in 1981 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She initially studied violin and piano but later became interested in a wider variety of musical instruments. Negrón pursued studies in composition and conducting at the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico and later earned her master's degree in music composition from New York University. She is known for her unique approach to music, incorporating unusual sounds, improvised instruments, and electronics. Negrón has received recognition for her work, including commissions from the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
