Abstract

The article "Madeira Storm Petrels ... From one species to three, at least ..." deals with the different species of storm petrels, especially the Madeira Storm Petrel. It is mentioned that the family of tube-nosed birds includes the largest and smallest seabirds. Two species of Madeira Storm Petrels have been identified in the Azores, which differ in their breeding and molting times. It is suspected that there are also other species or subspecies of Madeira Storm Petrels on other islands such as St. Helena, Hawaii, and the Galapagos Islands. These birds have small populations and are vulnerable to threats. To observe them, the article recommends traveling to the respective islands during the breeding season and participating in special seabird-watching tours. [Extracted from the article]
