The article analyzes the lack of effectiveness of leadership in generating economic, social, and environmental value in the 21st century. The hypothesis is raised that the characteristics of the postmodern paradigm are not present in the training and execution of professionals responsible for organizational transformations. The importance of transdisciplinarity and the need for an epistemological framework for responsible leadership training is highlighted. Additionally, the lack of ethics committed to the common good in the profiles of university graduates and the management of the global economy is mentioned.
