The high-quality development of the livestock and poultry breeding industry is a key aspect of ensuring seed source security and breaking the monopoly of animal and poultry germplasm, improving the quality of livestock and poultry products, and promoting the green transformation of the livestock and poultry breeding industry. This is crucial for advancing Chinese-style modernization. In the perspective of Chinese-style modernization, the high-quality development of the livestock and poultry breeding industry has achieved certain results, mainly manifested in the rich genetic resources of livestock and poultry, a significant increase in the supply capacity of livestock and poultry germplasm, and the upgrading of key core technologies in livestock and poultry breeding. The article proposes comprehensive development of livestock and poultry genetic resources to promote the characteristic development of the livestock and poultry industry, accelerates the deep integration of industry, academia, and research, to improve the modern standardized livestock and poultry breeding system, strengthens technological innovation and application in livestock and poultry breeding to develop strategies to enhance the development of key core technologies in livestock and poultry breeding.
