Abstract
- The secure and stable operation of the feed industry supply chain is a necessary prerequisite for ensuring national food security and constructing the pattern of social development. Based on provincial panel data from 2012 to 2021, the article used the entropy method to measure the resilience level of the feed industry supply chain. It also employs a two-way fixed-effects model to analyze the key factors influencing the resilience level of the feed industry supply chain. The results showed that from 2012 to 2021, the resilience level of the Chinese feed industry supply chain showed a slow upward trend. The improvement in the resilience level of the feed industry supply chain in China was mainly attributed to enhanced resistance, adaptability, innovation capability, and the improvement of government strength. At the regional level, the eastern region had the strongest resilience level in the feed industry supply chain among the four major regions, followed by the central region, while the northeastern region was weaker, and the western region was the weakest. The driving factors for the resilience level of the feed industry supply chain vary in each region. In terms of influencing factors, technological innovation capability, financial development level, and openness to the outside world promote the resilience level of the feed industry supply chain. On the other hand, the urbanization rate, fluctuations in the prices of feed production materials, and production prices of feed products had an inhibitory effect. Based on these findings, the article explores practical pathways to enhance the resilience level of the feed industry supply chain, aiming to provide valuable references and insights for improving the resilience level of the feed industry supply chain.
